Silverizon is a niche recycling company located in Central New York. In a historic train roundhouse building, the Kabat family started Silverizon 50 years ago as a paper recycling operation. Over the years our focus has shifted from paper to other print-related metals including aluminum litho plates and silver bearing film (hence our name), and then on to the propane industry including valves, tanks, regulators, etc... We also operate a modest retail yard which welcomes local professionals for the purchase of non-ferrous metals.
Silverizon is unique in that we stay small with very low overhead, yet move high volumes of specific grades of scrap. Instead of dealing in small amounts of lots of different grades like other scrapyards, we move full trailer loads of one grade at a time. This allows us to cut out several middlemen and sell straight to the end refinery. That is how we demand the highest prices for our metal and in turn pay the highest prices to you! Currently our focus is on aluminum litho plates, and brass from propane valves.
We service the New York State region and beyond with free pick up for suppliers of litho plates and propane valves with more than 2,000 lbs. You can expect experienced, personal service and fast payment by check or cash, or both.
Aluminum Litho Plates

Propane Valves

While other yards will appraise brass valves as a low grade "dirty brass," we will pay for the actual value of the clean brass found within, then deduct a small percentage for contaminants and processing. By this formula, you are guaranteed a substantially higher payout.
